A dual-brand integrated hotel under IHG Hotels & Resorts, consisting of the five-star Crowne Plaza Wuhan Tianhe Airport and four-star Holiday Inn Wuhan Tianhe Airport. Developed by Hubei Airport Group and managed by IHG officially launched on March 13, 2025. It is the first international five-star airport hotel within Wuhan Tianhe Airport and won the Skytrax Award for China’s Best Airport Hotel 2026, ranking as a benchmark airport hospitality complex in Central China.
Design Concept
- Curved streamlined glass curtain walls echo the architectural style of airport terminals. Two featured courtyards are built onsite: a classical Chinese courtyard with rockeries, flowing water and pavilions, plus a European-style leisure garden.
- Interior embossed wall decorations and soft furnishings incorporate Jianghan water ripples, phoenix motifs and classic Chu-style patterns. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize natural lighting and views.
- Crowne Plaza targets premium business travelers, while Holiday Inn focuses on cost-effective efficient stays; shared public facilities with differentiated service systems.
We have tailored various types of furniture to meet the functional needs and style positioning of different star-rated guest rooms and public areas in hotels. In four-star guest rooms, the furniture design focuses on balancing practicality and comfort, using high-quality and durable materials, and warm and harmonious color matching to create a comfortable living environment for travelers. In five-star guest rooms, the furniture places more emphasis on presenting quality and luxury, with exquisite and unique design, craftsmanship in every detail, and the use of high-end fabrics and precious woods to enhance the overall style of the room.
In terms of public area activity furniture, we have also fully considered the characteristics of high passenger flow and frequent use in airport hotels, and designed furniture products that are both aesthetically pleasing and durable. For example, the sofas and coffee tables in the lobby not only match the overall space style, but also have good support and stability, meeting the needs of a large number of passengers for short breaks.
