Officially opened in 2025, Zixi Rusi Cultural Resort is a high-end cultural resort nestled beside Xiaodong River within the 5A-level Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area in Zixing, Chenzhou, Hunan Province. Centered on immersive Song-dynasty oriental aesthetics, it ranks top-tier among premium resorts around Dongjiang Lake, targeting poetic seclusion vacations, small-scale conferences, Hanfu photography shoots and intangible cultural heritage experiences.
- Architectural & Design Philosophy
Designed by GWP Architects, the project draws inspiration from Song-style landscape aesthetics and local fishing culture: - Buildings scatter gently along the river, shaped like moored fishing boats, built around two ancient century-old trees on-site to harmonize fully with natural riverside scenery;
- Blends traditional materials including blue bricks, flagstones and fair-faced concrete with modern minimalist layouts. Water landscapes run through the whole courtyard to create layered Chinese-style garden views;
- Interior spaces feature ink-wash ambiance, minimalist Zen layouts, art galleries themed on Dongjiang mist scenery, integrating local fishing culture for immersive oriental poetic accommodation.
